The most expensive coffee on earth is ($300-$600 a pound), called Kopi Luwak, or Civet Coffee,
it is made from beans passed through the digestive system of a civet, a
cat-like creature found on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia. The cat
feasts on ripe coffee cherries then passes them through its
system, after which they are gathered and roasted like other coffee
beans. The coffee is said to be like no other, and has a rich flavor
with hints of caramel and chocolate.
